A truly terrifying Canberra. Nice to see MS Paint getting some month-long love. Any proper digital art I've ever made was with it, and most of that turned out alright.

Good luck on the October challenge. Hopefully, that will mean I get to indulge in 29 more paintings while I listen to Halloween radio this month.

FunkySquidd responds:

She's truly a spawn of hell. Yea the challenge appealed to me because of the theme and I can see what I'm able to make when I limit myself and use different tools

Thanks! I hope you'll enjoy what I create

They gave you quite a few strong suggestions to work with. Your worst is Drifter who just seems uncomfortable in that box. The strongest is obviously Nina, but the fingers need some work. I love the look on Rilla Roo. A very clean cut around the scalp, too. I don't know Momoka Asuka or Kasumin, but they look decent. That passive-looking girl is not Tron Bonne! Thank neutral_demon for the excellent choice of the mole, Gaetan MoliƩre.

Five stars for the variety, color, and for including three bonus choices.

FunkySquidd responds:

I gave Drifter the 'You know I had to do it to em' meme pose. I think Nina's the worst looking. I try too hard to draw her like she looks in official art instead of drawing her in my own style.
I felt like giving Tron a different expression than the angry or determined look she's usually portrayed as having in most fan art. That, and my expressions aren't a strength of mine.

I could have added more colors and shaded/lit the characters but i had worked on this for long enough and just wanted to be done with it. I'm glad you like it though. Thanks

Now THAT is a genuinely dapper-lookin' doll! That top hat especially looks fantastic on him. What's more is that you've even made sure the chin is pointed properly. Many other toys of The Great WAH! I've seen tend to go with a longer, yet still rounded design. I'm assuming that kind of chin is a little easier to create.

I initially wondered why he wasn't wearing his signature purple attire, but I suppose if a guy wanted a custom design, making this look like every other Waluigi available online would be kind of pointless, would it?

Waluigi deserves the same love and respect showered upon his Mario Universe counterparts, and what better way to highlight that fact than by dressing himself up in the finest and classiest of outfits!

Beautiful work, Tatyana.

(Even I can't be scared of a doll this handsome.)

YanaTan responds:

thanks for the comment
yes, this character also has the right to be recognized

Disgust is now in control? Hmm... a mind that can only feel disgusted by life. What a sad, yet somewhat realistic concept in this day and age. Worst of all, there's going to be a lot of wasted broccoli.

Everything looks good, except for maybe the right foot. Seems like that one is turned a bit too far to the left. Even if one's feet are facing in the same direction, they will normally remain slanted away from one another to some degree.

FunkySquidd responds:

Lol yea she's in control now. I don't mind tho. Oh yea that's the one downside. No more healthy and tasty broccoli :(

Thank you! Yea you're right. I didn't draw the foot properly. Thank you for the critique

Why is this rated E, Chutney? What if children were to see this atrocity? At the very least, put some ranch or peanut butter on that thing!

ChutneyGlaze responds:

D:>

As an individual who hates dolls (the humanoid ones really creep me out), I can safely post that this is genuinely amazing stuff. I hate it, but I also love it. Fantastic work on such a terrifying creation.

YanaTan responds:

thanks for such an interesting comment
do not be afraid of dolls, they are not scary until you find yourself with them in a room with poor lighting alone)))))

I don't know anything about CursedArachnid, but I love the various shades of purple going on. It's like if Mr. and Mrs. Dink were colored with more depth... and had a better set of teeth.

I like seeing more of Jason, and he has the right mindset going on here, but his stance is rather stiff. It's more like he's posing with the machete or about to chop straight down with it, rather than getting ready to swing it at someone right in front of him. The red on he mask makes him look like he is blushing though. <3

FunkySquidd responds:

CursedArachnid is a pinup artist. You can find his stuff on Twitter. I love his style and expressions.
Thanks!

yea i'm not too good with poses

My Sisterly and Snooty villagers meditate together in New Horizons, but I've been told the personalities in each new Animal Crossing become increasingly respectful and friendly towards the player and one another. I'd rather see more charming interactions like this one occur than the sterilized community I feel like I am currently living in.

As much as I LOVE Hazel's expression in this one, Canberra proves her face-making skill by putting in the extra effort to dye her tongue green, walleye her vision (is that possible to do voluntarily), and inflate her own... head? She's suppose to be a koala, right? Maybe I need to keep an eye on her the next time I swing by the plaza. I don't want Canberra scaring Yuka and Judy off the island (at least until I've earned their photos, that is).

What is the make-up of your island? All girls?

FunkySquidd responds:

me too, man... I miss the older games' funny interactions where they'd sometimes argue. I like imagining the immature sisterly villagers annoying the snooty older ones. Would be so much more entertaining and funny

hahah yea Canberra's going all the way but she naturally looks goofy so it's easier for her. Her tongue isn't naturally green but I felt like making it so ^^ i could have made her head and body size equal to the other 2 but I wanted to exaggerate her to sell the goofy expression :D I love that you have Canberra on your island.

My island's villagers are Olive, Chrissy, Monique, Carmen, Canberra, Hazel, Tiffany, Muffy, Dobie, and Lyman who moved in today. Lyman's the 10th villager who I tend to get rid of for a campsite villager if I like them enough. Before him I had Ketchup, Dom, and the Rhino with a strawberry horn(got all of them at the campsite)
So really, it's 8 girls and 1 dude; Dobie, hahaha. He's an old man living on an island surrounded by girls. It's cute

I'd say about a third of all Miis are of "indeterminate gender" while another third are probably better labeled as "indeterminate species." I've run into some goofy-looking Miis, but it's the low-effort ones that give me added incentive to win. If a person couldn't even put in the entire five minutes to design their Mii, then they need a two-turnip trouncing.

Not sure how I would feel if I ran across a Doogenheimer, but I'll be moving to Georgia soon, so I imagine there's a (very) slim chance I might come across one online hailing from Alabama in the near future.

Bertn1991 responds:

Right you are. You have to win when you go up against the default Mii Swordfighter whose name is just Matt. I had a friend growing up who was so abnormally normal that we started calling him Default. Maybe that was mean. He was such a kind soul and we all loved 'm.

Oh, movin' to Georgia? The kindest thing I can say about Georgia is that it's not Alabama, and the kindest thing I can say about Alabama is that we're not Mississippi. But really, Georgia isn't so bad. Savannah is a beautiful place to visit, if you're moving close by. Doogus and I wish you a smooth move. Georgia is fortunate to have you, good sir, nay, GREAT sir, nay, BEST sir!

"You can dance! You can dance! Everybody look at your pants!" Muffy claims that she left to move to your island, but we all know it was because her friends can't dance.

I know she has a following, but I am not a big fan of fluffy Muffy. I blame the cold stare. Not a fan of staring... or pickles. Not a fan of staring at pickles. Is she doing that thing you kids call "vibing"? Is this a "mood"?

Drawing looks great overall and I appreciate the flower sunglasses. They hide the stare. The pickle stare!

FunkySquidd responds:

yeee she moved to my island to escape all her friends who got no rhythm to their step, hahah

aww really? I adore Muffy. She was one of my first villagers in New Horizons and I'm never getting rid of her. I love that she's a goth sheep. Yea she's just at Hazel's party, vibin'

Thanks!!
