Aside from having a similar sound to that of a ballpark organ, it doesn't feel much like a "baseball" tune specifically, though I don't see why that would matter anyhow. It's pleasant and would fit really well as the background tune for a silent animation short. Hell, it could even be for a short about some goof learning to play baseball and being bad at it. Not Pete though. Pete's a fantastic player and I refuse to believe otherwise!

Bertn1991 responds:

Yeah, it's not very baseball at all >.<

Oh no, of course not. Pete is the king of baseball...in Ken Griffey Jr. Presents Major League Baseball on Super Nintendo. He can curve a ball one way and then magically curve it the other way in mid-air.

Sounds like there's a lot going on here. I can sort of imagine a real fight happening in this song. A little back and forth chatter and sizing up of one another. At 1:47, several rapid hits begin to happen on both sides, but nothing serious. Things slow down a little until about 2:42 when attacks start to become more focused and meaningful. At 4:27, you got that mid-battle banter where neither one is doing much more than commenting on the other's moves and how they think it will end, and then things wrap up from 5:15 onward as they unleash everything else they've got left to give.

HoboKa responds:

I wish I had thought along those lines with composing, I coulda made it even more epic. Too bad my mixing skills were really cheddar back then...

Your horror remixes are by far your best works, HbK, and I greatly appreciate you reminding me of that with each new upload.

This was actually featured in a Xmas album? The implications here kind of worry me.

HoboKa responds:

Parasite Eve is set during Christmas, at New York City. So, it's kinda like the Die Hard of JRPGs lmao. Except the lead is a hot chick who's half Japanese. Ahh...so dreamy. Mitochondria Eve ain't so bad either, if you're into body horror that is rofl.

It sounds like music that would play in the waiting room of a horror movie. Constantly looping until you reach a point where you start to believe that this waiting IS the horror, but then a Nurse appears and tells you the killer will see you now... meaning that the killer was the horror all along! Who knew?

HoboKa responds:

Better plot than the Silent Hill Movie.

A truly amazing creation indeed.
(music's not bad, either)

Undo Dog should've been the last DLC fighter in Smash Ultimate >.<

Some day, you really oughta fire up Mario Paint and make a video of appreciation about it. What it does, how well it does it, how it has and continues to inspire you, and provide music and art made within in. I'm sure it would fair better than the copyright hassles that are your movie reviews. Plus, the SNES turned 30 in 2021, and everyone I know who has shared their thoughts about the console and its library throughout the anniversary have never once mentioned the significance of Mario Paint. It's slightly upsetting.

Bertn1991 responds:

Hmm, that's a very good idea. I would have so much to say. The video would write itself. I must do this! Thanks~

I share hoboka's sentiments on this one. It's leaves an impression of being left alone to explore something that should also be left alone. Great addition to a Halloween playlist though, and you already know how I appreciate that. Thank ya, Nertb9119.

Bertn1991 responds:

No probz! Thank YOU!

Ah, I have become the Anti-Bert! As always, you may NOT download this track and you are NOT free to use it however you like >:D

Oh, this would be perfect for the title screen of a large-scale JRPG. It really puts one in the mood for an adventure... a sky adventure! ...IN THE SKY! *points up* ...probably that one.

Bertn1991 responds:

SquirrelSoft needs to get on that right away. Crystal Crusade VI should take to the skies ;)

Well, shit. When I saw the name, I assumed the next episode was right around the corner. That's kind of a bummer. As for the music, it almost sounds like 12PM in Animal Crossing accompanied by Zelda's Song of Healing.

Bertn1991 responds:

Sorry to disappoint. I do intend to finish The Curse of the Calamari Queen now that I feel safer having friends over to record and stuff ^.^

Ah, I can hear the resemblance. The Song of Healing was definitely a standout in Majora's Mask, and as a life-long Zelda fan I'm kind of ashamed I've only recently finished that game.

When the Ragtime is so good that it leaves the pianist feeling horny afterwards.

And I totally forgot there was even a piano in this trumpet song.
