Preferably, I would choose none of them in the second game. If it wasn't for boss battles requiring me to fight back with the hammer provided, I'd ignore everything except the food. I still own my copy of AI2 and I have the Wonder Boy collection that lets me play the first one because... well, you know. I really do need to sit down and tackle the third game at some point, or play AI2 again and actually use the dinosaurs for a change. *shrugs* AI2 is a favorite of mine on the NES alongside Karnov and Zelda 2. I even bought a white hat with Hachisuke on it so that I can replay it in style.

Small correction - Adventure Island now belongs to Konami. They COULD release a collection of the games at some point in the future, but I won't get my hopes up.

ICam2k responds:

Yeah, I get you. Most of the dinosaurs do feel kind of clunky in one or another as far as controls go, with the pteranodon being arguibly worse since it only allows you to throw the hammers downward (which isn't technically bad per se, but not efficient on some of the levels and bosses) and the elasmosaurus being only at best in water levels. The only the best one in the set is really the red camptotaurus.
What I can say about the third game is that it's mostly the same with some features and that's it. There is a fourth game that is more expansive though, actually taking in a more metroidvania approach and includes different minigames, but of course, that's only a japan exclusive. (it does a translation hack though)
Hachisuke hat? Nice.
Probably never. They're only interested in Bomberman at the moment.

Is this The Mewx's true and final form? Turn in next time on Syrupmaster Z!

Syrupmasterz responds:

I have reason to believe Australian Mewx might be his true and final form.

Your greatest piece of art since the last one you uploaded... and if anyone states otherwise then I will nod and respectfully accept their opinion BUT only after a second of hesitation to do so! Also, her head looks like it is about to slide off of her neck which would be an adorably cartoonish way to represent how tired she currently is.

Syrupmasterz responds:

Yup, the neck is where I made the biggest mistake for sure under time pressure.
But the rules are rules. Posted the art as it was, and promoted Chopsuey here and on Newgrounds.

We'll see how the next duel goes, and I'll be more mindful of the neck. :P

Judging by all the crosses, it's safe to assume this is a hospital church of sorts. That or Neon Heaven. Everyone loves Neon Heaven.

MoeAnguish responds:

That's what the "look up" stands for

Guy belongs in a banned episode of The Busy World of Richard Scarry where the themes were a little too "real" for the network to allow.

Bertn1991 responds:

I'll be sure to put "The Gregory Episode" on my disturbing lost media iceberg chart. On a side note, I was a big-time Richard Scarry kid. It was up there with Little Bear and Arthur for me.

This character represents a little more than half the people hired as cashiers at my store, including "forklift certified," surprisingly enough.

Bertn1991 responds:

Lots of Earlies out there, and they all deserve a raise and a nap.

Hey now! Video games can't play themselves you know and that bed would get mighty cold without your warmth, so you better get plenty of rest, too. Don't worry, because you'll definitely get more art on Newgrounds eventually. If you create the art now, then you clearly didn't have faith in yourself to create it later. Don't you have faith in yourself, unknown? I have faith in you, unknown! I have faith that you will definitely get that art made after some important sleep and video games.

unknownisAAAAA responds:

I will!! i WIIILLLLLL!!!!! lol

Zylo the werewolf always seems to do better than Zylo the wolf baron. Maybe it's just because he looks cooler in his pre-promoted form... or maybe I'm just unlucky and my random stat gains are frequently bad. I don't know.

Excellent work as always, TiS.

Tisbore responds:

Thanks buddy! I definitely like his pre-promoted form better. Lol.

Love it, but we need more centaurs for the sleigh. Vankar would make for a perfect Rudolph.

Merry Christmas, Tis (...the season to be jolly)!

Tisbore responds:

lol. Thanks buddy. Hope you had a great Christmas!

The mysterious plot device, Otrant.

Nice to see this Inktober providing more art for these kind-of-nothing characters who are really just a cutscene and never utilized again, because you know there's at least one person out there who is going to be unusually happy to see even this tiny bit of love for one of their favorite obscure NPCs.

Tisbore responds:

Yeah. My prompt list this year was suggested by my followers. So someone asked for him. Lol.
