I lack the knowledge to phrase it any better, but something about 0:26 to 0:36 sounded a little flat. After that, however, it's fantastic. Thrilling, even. It's as if you wanted to summarized one man's entire adventure within a single piece of music.

Excellent work, SirQ.

Quebi responds:

Thank you! The idea was actually making this uphill/downhill movement of a journey or adventure.

During one of his many adventures, Power Man met up with a short, peculiar fellow calling himself the "Dreamland Musician." He roamed the land barefooted, yet socks hung from his belt like pouches. Midway into one of his songs, the strange little man reached into one of his socks and pulled out a handful of dust, which he immediately tossed into the air. A violet mist surrounded the both of them. As the musician danced and played, Power Man felt himself rising into the air and swimming through a sea of clouds. It was relaxing, soothing... kinda cold. By morning, the Dreamland Musician was gone, Power Man was floating face-up in a pond, and his socks were missing.

Bertn1991 responds:

That was quite the tale. Sounds like a shenanigan Power Man would find himself in. His business cards read exterminator, but at heart he's an adventurer. I too hope to meet this Dreamland Musician someday. Maybe he's the one whose been taking all my socks.

I'm bias about this particular song, since it's one of my favorites from Bertn. Honestly, I was expecting an inferior version. After hearing it though, I'm happy that you were able to add an excellent bit of flair to the music without ruining what I enjoy so much about the original.

It sounds like a bizarre mixture of Aquatic Ambience taking place in Ancient Egypt as a result of someone angrily tossing their Clapper into the Nile River after realizing the device isn't compatible with the C and F power outlets.

In less than an hour, you turned Bertn's Cute'em Up into a Space Harrier clone.
I don't see (or hear) a problem with this.

"Dang it, Walter! You did this. Not me. I told you, 'No aerial stunts!' You know I don't like riding in one of these things."

See, it's a Cute'em Up featuring Squirrely Boots as she fights her way through eight levels of high flyin' oddities in order to rescue Admiral Cheeseburger from an adorably vicious crew of sky pirating shrews.

Bertn1991 responds:

Tales from Arcadia reference instantly make my day. You are officially the best.

Also, Walter needs to stop his reign of tyranny >.<

You definitely made the fight a far more terrifying experience than Bertn intended for his game. Perhaps he can use this as a hard mode version for an unlockable boss rush option after the player completes the story mode of Crystal Crusade.

This doesn't differentiate itself enough to really make me want to listen to it over the original, but it does provide myself a flimsy excuse to have a favorite on my playlist more than once.

I hear an awful lot going on with this piece, and I'm just amazed at how it doesn't end up sounding like a cluttered mess. It's a testament to your talent, Flops.

Sounds like you were inspired by the old DKC games. That or I've been playing a little too much Tropical Freeze lately. Either way, I'm anxious to hear the finished piece.
