Not even a glass window? If he's not worried about the weather and bugs freely entering the home, why bother troubling himself caring about anything else?

He could make a glass window. It'll take 6 sand blocks and a furnace though
Without the context, the oil-spewing balloon things and the eyeball-filled background just weirds me out completely. *shivers*
Smollusk looks awfully cute and, more importantly, as happy as can be, so the unsettling background seems like a small price to pay to keep Lil'Squirt cheerful. What are those things in the background? They remind me of the Hell Trees of Mario Galaxy. Are they suppose to be evil goop/slime clones, like in Smash Ultimate or pretty much any other fighting game that needs a simple excuse to explain why friends battle one another?
As they should be.
No, they're way worse than the Hell Tress because they pop out in the distant oceans where they'll turn black if you perform an unauthorized exploit, or even cheats.
Or probably because Smollusk leads these things? It only makes sense for a artificially crafted baby who vows order to have an army as grisly as these fishes.
They're called Jelletons (wrote in the tags lol). They're the main enemies found in in the Spire of Order and kind of mirror the Salmonids from Salmon Run, but their attacks differ in the game and some are more bulkier of course.
They're actually made by Marina, were supposed to be the Spire's staff and looked "cuter" until Smollusk as Overlorder ruined everything.
They probably look less intimidating as 3D models though. I just have a knack of making terrifying looking things even moreso. Watching horror movies at an young age taught me well. lol
(that and the fact that I was under a time limit so I kind of rushed these guys, but hey, the "uncanny" factor did pull off!)
I did comment on one of them but found it somewhat odd to see this split up into three videos. If it's all part of the process for a single image, you could simply allow the change in music be the indicator for each section of it. That and/or the built-in feature to segment your video would allow you turn it into chapters for a viewer's preference.
"These two were my first exposure to the whole sun/moon motif and it’s now one of my favorite motifs."
Definitely noticed that about you through your favorite'd art. The motif is interesting, for sure, especially whenever I saw depictions of it in small shops that sold various baubles, jewelry, and artwork. It's not one that grips me as strongly as it does you since I tend to focus more on stylistic interpretations of just the sun primarily due to having lived in Florida for years. The only exception to this is the Pokemon Lunatone. I just think it's cooler than Solrock and was part of my primary team back when a friend convinced me to play Alpha Sapphire.
As for this piece specifically, it's another amazing reminder that no matter how many times you point out minor flaws in your works, they're always going to be overshadowed by your dazzling emphasis on colors.
Yeah everything is a weird experimental-ing stuff right now when it comes to Youtube stuff. Still relatively new to it all after not doing it for years and never really took the time to learn Youtube mechanics, and wasn't sure if it was going to work in one video (trying to keep them under five minutes too). I did forget about splitting it in different chapters and keep it in one video, you're right on that one - thank you for reminding me and the feedback for it.
I find it amusing when people go through my favorites, haha. I do the same to others sometimes.
That's fair! Florida can be nice, bright, sunny, and maybe too hot.
I love both Lunatone and Solrock. They're the things I specifically look for when it comes to sun and moon motifs. I do prefer Lunatone over Solrock though. I personally had Omega Ruby (and preferred the red/warm themed Pokemon games).
Thank you so much! Appreciate it! I do have a tendency to be critical at things sometimes.
Margarita and a bong is not the sort of way I would celebrate the holiday. Then again, I got stuck doing the work of two people while an audit was going on, so that's not the sort of way I wanted to celebrate the holiday, either.
Any clue what caused the fire? My initial guess is an electrical outlet since that's what caused a friend's home to burn down years ago. Hopefully, you were able to recover your painting. If it was done with watercolors, then the heat might have evaporated it.
Apparently it was something with the ducts, i was able to get in today and my painting was fine :)
I like how you clarified that Max is not the name of the horse with the title of this version, but that begs the question, "What IS the name of the horse Max is riding?" Inquiring minds (or just me) need to know!
-Edit-
"I’ll let ya name the horsey!"
Fine, his name is now Bowie. Max is riding Bowie and this has become your Valentine's Day piece for the year. How romantic!
Thank you, TiS.
I’ll let ya name the horsey!
I love how all five of them look like victims of binging brain rot memes on tiktok.
"...they said, 'draw the first five fire-type pokémon that come to your mind.' and so i did that."
Pokemon is an excellent choice for art ideas. A variety of designs to choose from for all levels of talent on top of whatever else you would want to challenge yourself with, like trying out various angles or redesigning them for one reason or another. Even basic drawings of each one makes for excellent filler content whenever you need a break from working on more personal stuff.
"sometimes i call the result of this process 'polished trash'"
Gotta keep that trash nice and clean or else the garbage truck won't pick it up, right? Maybe? I don't know what the standards of a garbage collector are, but I'm certain they're higher than my own. Also, that's a sign of a true artist... ya planned something dumb and simple yet your creative desires took over and drove you to turn this into something proper. Nice work, TD.
I'm a little sad my favorite isn't in there, but I understand. No one ever remembers poor perfect-in-every-way-shape-and-form Heatmor. *makes a loud, deliberate sighing noise for dramatic effect*
Shipping is not a thing I tend to indulge in except when the medium leans into it. Then, I like trying to figure out who is the best fit for someone.
Grass/Poison with Fairy... and the other one. That's not terrible coverage unless you ran across a Steel type, that is. Really curious about who the third one was now. I hope it was a Heatmor. As for Roserade's waist, well, I thought they all had big bottoms, but I'm not the one feeding her, so you would know better. I'm sure there's diet Pokemon food out there for Grass types.
The bonus piece seems fine to me. Both have a certain "off" appearance to them that only works because it's not just Roserade with that look. Then again, much of your art seems more like actual paintings than digital and is vastly different from the official style we see in Pokemon media.
Happy late Valentine's Day! ...I got my butt kicked at work trying to cover for all the kitchen duties work during a store audit. The only love I felt was while driving away from that place afterwards. I want to believe your day was more enjoyable.
Fair enough!
The other one was a Tsareena, which is just another Grass type, but physical. At least with Steel, I could use a Tsareena with a fighting move and hope it outspeeds and/or take a hit. Poison/Fire was another obstacle that took a few tries to overcome thanks to critical psychic move from a Floette. Flying type is also an issue, but I guess a Florges could eat a 1x flying move or get really lucky with Roserade while reviving a Florges. Weird set up, I know, but... it was different and it was fun from your typical 6-team well-rounded Pokemon run. :P
They do have big bottoms, but it looked bigger than usual. ^^; Probably, and yeah she probably got spoiled!
I appreciate the comment about both pieces. :)
Thanks! You too! Didn't know you worked in the Food Industry - which I respect! I was also busy working that day too. Left me frustrated and tired, but that tends to be a trend when it comes to working on holidays. I did enjoy the day prior to work, so I suppose that's something! :P
"My favourite is Vinny Mack, although Garris has proven to be rather more fun to draw."
Before reading the description, I was asking myself which was your favorite. Clearly not Goose, but I thought to myself, "Garris seems to have more going effort put into his depictions, but Cami's now-signature style of strong expressive reactions is clearly seen in most of Mack's drawings." It's not really worth being proud of, but I am glad I guessed Vinny right before reading your answer.
"Liberties, liberties..."
I do wonder how common it is for hired artists to reference the "liberties" taken by fans when asked to create new art for obscure characters being brought back in sequels/remakes of a series. I bet someone working on Splatoon... higher-number-than-3-whatever... will see Cami's efforts here and thank her for figuring out all the angles for them as they are tasked with incorporating references to past games in the backgrounds of various places. You never know! Vinny Mack might live again on the Switch 2 because of you.
Not a bad collection. Oddly enough, Marina's gallery is more interesting to look at, especially that dramatic acting pose you have her doing in the bottom corner.
"Does anyone remember perler beads?"
Whenever I'm shopping for simple gifts for a coworker, perler items pop up constantly on sites like Etsy. Quite the assortment, too, but they're not something I particularly care for and they're not something I would gift to someone on a holiday... maybe as a small surprise gift on a random Tuesday, I suppose. I also see perler items in the prize options for online events, like during AGDQ, so they clearly have a fan base or some kind. If I had to think of a dumb, cheap something or other to fawn over, I guess it would be pogs. I'd like to see themed collections of pogs again.
This would work as a crossover joke for Toriyama's sense of humor. Have someone introduce Goku to the most powerful gods of destruction with this grand, intimidating entrance only to reveal it to be these three (probably hanging out with Arale). It's the sort of dumb joke that would undermine the seriousness of the moment or subvert a common trope within a Shonen series, which Toriyama seemed to enjoy doing every once in a while.
That would no doubt be awsome to see if it went like that, or even with equivalents to these characters.
They'll definitely go along with Arale better. They match their "child energy". lol
That's exactly why I like Toriyama out of all the shonen mangakas (besides Hiroyuki Takei). He's the one who actually comes up with the more "of the walls" twists rather than just story related ones. Action and comedy do kind of go well together and despite me wishing to see the latter more like in the OG series, when it happens, it's still nice to witness. heh
