Because of the perspective, I'm not entirely sure whether or not Maguro is genuinely spaced away from Risukuma (as would be the case with a Pokemon game or if he is standing right behind him). Looks like Maguro is poking him directly to move forward. That and I rather not believe RK was actually tossed out and released from a pokeball. Either way, I have no doubt that Risukuma will be just as effective, if not more so, than an actual Luvdisc in this (or any other) match-up. "Lover not a fighter" is Luvdisc's entire identity. I do hope RK is able to use Puyos in this crossover. Maybe he can overwhelm Hydreigon with a few sandwiches, a landslide, and finish it with some appropriate Kuma stacking.

Side note - Maguro was the least memorable character when I was playing the two Puyo Puyo Tetris games. Should I feel bad for not remembering him until I saw this in my feed?

ICam2k responds:

He is supposed to be spaced away from RK, yes, as I did try to move him to adjust the position, but it seems that I fumbled up the perspective nonetheless. lol Like Risu's head still looks smaller compared to Maguro's. Eeeh, it is what it is.
He is tossed out of the pokeball. You don't see mansquirrelbears walking around, y'know?
Couldn't agree more. He uses chemicals to deal heavy (yet eye catchy) special attacks and then goes for paw smacking (maybe something like from JoJo's, although I barely know anything about the series other than I know the majority of people do talk about it a lot) for physical damage (they're usually the best ways to finish the fight, sandwiches aren't out of the question though)

No, I do get you. Barely any puyo games besides 20th (the one game besides 15th where it provides campaigns for all characters) ever provide attention to the purple haired boy. Like, he barely ever played any role in his debut game despite being established to be Ringo's classmate which should be just as integral. I mean, neither did Risu back then, but I suppose he just has the more noteworthy design compared to dozens of human characters introduced throughout the course of 20+ years, actually if I count in the Compile games, 30+. Puyo can be capable of coming up with weird creature designs of its own. Sukedoutara, Nasu Grave, Baldanders, The Frankesteins are the few examples of many I can point out.

Is it Toggle about to harm Toggle? Should I be singing "The Science of Selling Yourself Short" while looking at this?

Lying in bed, taking a shower, doing mundane chores... these are all common moments for the good ol' brain to suddenly fart out an idea or two to keep itself entertained. Always a smart move to have a notepad or, in your case, ibispaintx close by to quickly jot it down before you forget about it. Nothing to be concerned about. Comedians and musicians also have these moments. It's how a creative mind works. Sure, "venting" can result in ideas (any strong emotion can), but don't worry too much if it just happens casually, as well. If you keep doing something, it becomes second nature... forming new ideas included.

ToggleDragon responds:

yes, toggle is about to harm toggle, mentally. my brain is fighting itself. it does that a lot.

Ah yes, another day another picture with two hanging out with their newborn. Very cute. The view, especially, is stunning.

The Memverse is that world made by Marina, right? Is the Pearl robot controlled by the Pearl who is not a robot or is it just something Marina made as a substitute for whenever Pearl is not around?

I didn't entirely miss Mother's Day. I sent her the most expensive card available at the nearby grocery store, which, of course, was still not all that expensive, and I did call her the day before, but, while it was not food poisoning, I was also constantly stuck in bed due to a combination of work fatigue and sickness. I would get up to have some hot tea (Earl Grey with honey), become dizzy, and fall back asleep. I missed Mother's Day itself to talk with her, but I covered my butt beforehand, at least.

Happy Mother's Day to you, Cami. I hope your children brought you breakfast in bed, hand-made gifts, a card or two, and, uh, whatever else mothers receive... pie, I guess. Moms enjoy pie, right?

ICam2k responds:

Ok, clearly you got the hands on that script and translated that text piece and I feel to point that... you did a pretty a good job! Actually one of the few people to bother doing that at this point.
Got that right. Even when she got the help of other enginneers, that was only last minute when she was getting overwhelmed by the large scope of that project and other life factors being the world tour so she pretty much did all the ground work. lol
I would naturally give out the obvious answer like a dedicated geek that I am... but I ultimately choose to leave it up to that interpretation because I'm also a jerk. (aka, ill disguised way of saying that interpretations are fun lol)
I will admit that there have been times where I occasionally missed out on these types of days too. Heck, this is pretty much the only drawing based on that from me. I do celebrate the birthdays for my parents though and did even go as far as gifting them with digital portraits. (yes, they loved them, they loved them so much that my mom framed hers, I think that's sweet)
You too! If only my children can cook. If they cook at all. Wait, do I have children? Well, I do have a cockatiel that I tend to spoil like a princess, so I suppose that counts. At least I like cherry pie.

It's a charming depiction of Captain, but in comparison to your usual uploads, this is kind of a simple, straightforward pose. It lacks a lot of the whimsy that I've come to expect in your art. The potential is a rather interesting thought though. What would a Cami Tankman comic consist of? One-liners? Visual gags? A sudden war with strange enemies that can shoot colorful ink? Fun to think about, at least.

ICam2k responds:

No worries, I'll be sure to do better by the time I come back to him in one way.
Strange enemies that shoot colourful ink? Isn't that like paintball? Or painball? Whatever that is, I'll have to keep that in mind to make that work.

The overall image is cute enough on its own, but I absolutely adore the cloud's expression as it calmly pushes back the sun god. My only nitpick is not seeing Chutney also stomping in the water puddles. They should be doing that together.

Maiden-Chynna responds:

You are not wrong! Realistically Chutney would probably be the first to jump in the puddles.

There was a Mario Party on the GBA? Wait, no. Focus on the art. Ahem, how come... these two... were not featured in the Mario Party on the GBA that I didn't know about until now? Why even have time machines if we're not using them for reasons like this?!

It is perfect as is. Kind of impressive that you have such a relatively clean-looking image from a scanner. Instead of adding color, use that time to continue enjoying your Switch (1 at least) until the next one arrives with a new Splatoon (maybe), or revisit the GBA. Did you know there's Mario Party on that? I didn't until today!

ICam2k responds:

Yeah, I was about to get that game until I found that these weren't included in and skipped it entirely. Not WORTH the money.

Mhmmm, I would perhaps stick on my Switch in the meantime... but with Wario Land 4 because I like that game the most.

This is what you do when you suffer from an art block? Most would be unable to create anything and, yet, here you are churning out quality fanart at a mere normal level. I suppose the Cami level (you're Cami) would be the equivalent of three standard artists. See, that's the selling point for why everyone should follow Cami (that's you! you're Cami)... you get triple the value from that follow! It's a great deal!

Favorites in this are the top corners, but what the heck is going on with Gustavo in the center?

ICam2k responds:

What are you talking about? I just simply made pizzas. They were intended for the Easter that I never got around to, that's why they're painted. I still can't get around art block. I need to be enlightened!
Mine are the ones with "Peppino's karmic noiseism", "Gus's Thousand Yard Stare" and one where he squishes the cheeslime with pure determined satisfaction (it is fact based on that frame when Jack fights against the t- I mean "doodles" from Cool World actually, a bit of guilty pleasure because I only like its dystopian aesthetic and some of the character designs, its story can jump off the building)

"Kid Green" is an interesting and mysterious name. An explanation seems to be in order. Would you be so kind as to shed some light on the backstory of it? Is he a Namekian?

Bertn1991 responds:

Our dear green friend is an enigma wrapped in a mystery beneath a layer of secrets on a bed of riddles.

I, too, have gifted Yarn Yoshi amiibos to a friend before. He refused them until I bought a second set of the three little ones for myself. Hopefully, Shuan² is not as obnoxious about accepting presents.

Bertn1991 responds:

Who could turn down such a lovely gift? The nerve.

"And that marks the story about how I impulsively save every work on any device"

Constantly saving my work was the result of being too poor to use MS Word back when I was in college and the pirated software I was stuck using for assignments would sometimes turn all my progress into gibberish that could not be fixed. I also had a computer that was so worn out that it would overheat randomly, too. Save early, save often, and don't override your saves.

Several delightful images. Nothing particularly surprising from Cami aside from the Mario Hotel reference. Didn't think you'd be a fan of YTPs (unless you're the extremely rare fan of CD-i games). Even if it's in a bag, I would rather not touch Grizzco's Fuzzy Bread. Ugh. The image of Rei and Yu is a little disturbing, as well. A pair of ghosts telling me to join them is ominous.

ICam2k responds:

Oooof, I remember how my mom had that issue happen to her too whenever she asked me to help her out to arrange and fix certain documents (at least with the word) so I can see the frustation. Especially when my own laptop is well in its 10 year venture... were its battery has died out recently. Probably should've mentioned that in some of the posts during that time.

But let's not dwell on that and instead allow me to affirm that of course! I'm pretty sure I posted that Morshu pixel art I've made pretty long ago, so it's pretty much an open secret of sort. (can't say the same about the CD-i games, but I do know that I've played Arzette: The Jewel of Faramore during its release, it's an indie that aims to incorporate the wonderful CD-i cutscene greatness while actually providing good gameplay, a simple platformer but it clicks right enough, I have yet to touch on its hard mode)
Puyo Puyo 20th had these two pop in certain scenes where Yu specifically would invite the other parties (even poor Ringo since she's so afraid of ghosts, only because she thinks their prolonged presence is "illogical") included to become ghosts with them through "special" means, so I say the characterization presented here did come out from somewhere. heh
