[8-bit Horror Chase]

The sound and build-up remind me of a couple of NES games from my sad excuse for a childhood, and I appreciate that quite a bit (the music, not the childhood), but this never quite reaches an appropriate climax. It never hits that point which makes the listener jump. Add to that, the overall structure is fairly simplistic, even by NES standards. You've created a decent loop, but it definitely feels like a something or two is missing.

It's well made. Sounds good. I don't specifically think of Creo when I hear it, as I have with the other songs you've composed.

I thought, I did bring a bit of my signature sound in - at least with the synth work in the drop. Other than that of course I'm always looking for new things to bring into my music, as of lately I've tried to sample vocals in. And I love to play around with cinematic-style atmospheres. Just so you have a heads up of what awaits in the future. ;)

[Stranger Still | 2017]

Very odd. This sounds so familiar, but why does it sound so familiar?

Am I actually a time traveler who has already heard this piece back when I lived in the future and somehow crossed over into the past without realizing it, and it's only now, after hearing your music, that I am fully aware of my dilemma? What has happened to Past Me? What if he is terrified and confused about all the changes that have occurred since he and I switched places? What if Past Me starts injecting memes into his conversations, completely unaware of how dank they have already become? Talking to my co-workers will become so awkward! Meanwhile, I have only reruns and brand new classic music from Bertn to look forward to until I finally return to the future from which I came. What if I receive a Christmas present at the end of this year and already know what it is before unwrapping it? If there's no surprise to be had, then what's the point of even celebrating the holiday, Bertn? What's the point of anything anymore?!

On the bright side, I love the song, so take your five stars (possibly for the second time).

Sometimes you just gotta look back at reruns of brand new classics from the future and smile. Also, this song sounds familiar because it has the same melody of The New Zealand Saga. Thank you for five stars once again. I'll hold them close and never let go.

This is a wonderful gift, but it leaves one to wonder about the likelihood of you being able to compose an even better song for your fifth or even tenth anniversary.

[Dark Dragon's Keep | 2017]

The start of it makes me reminisce about Disney's Gargoyles. (+5 stars)

For nearly two minutes, it sounds like the background music to a respectable horror film from the eighties. After that, it began to sound like the playfully creepy background music to one of the more "whimsical" horror flicks from the eighties. Then, it went back to being a respectable horror film from the eighties. So, maybe we could have you compose the soundtrack to a movie that envisions The Shining, but with Torok the Troll. Imagine the reviews, Bertn! Imagine them!

Whenever I see 'New Zealand', I think of Hercules: The Legendary Journeys (sometimes Xena, too), so my brain has now inadvertently (inadBertnly) turned this into the theme song for Kevin Sorbo.

Not the sort of music I typically enjoy, but it's decent for what it is, and it fits well with the chosen theme. You do good stuff, Filip, even when I don't like it.

Even your slower music is oddly enjoyable, and, to clarify, I really don't care for slow music... or pickles. I hate slow pickles... and the cold. I can't stand slow-moving, cold pickle music, especially when it's blue. Thankfully, this track isn't a cold shade of blue pickle covered in slow mustard.

I think it might be a bit too simplified for an actual level (regardless of the forecast), but it's charming af and I could definitely imagine this as small town or shop music.

Certainly goes with the art. No doubt about that. I wish this was a minute shorter (I know the rule about three minutes being the minimum.) There just isn't enough variety to keep my attention throughout the entire song.
