How come the linework and detail here are so much worse than your other drawings? Were you experimenting? Drawing within a time limit? Not feeling well? Is it a painting you scanned and uploaded? Overall, it's not terrible (better than anything I can do). It's just not as good as the majority of your other art, and there's nothing in the description to feed my curiosity as to why.

Is Narancia your favorite JoJo character or did he seem like the most interesting to try and draw?

FunkySquidd responds:

First of all, thank you for your honesty! It may not be the nicest thing to hear that what i've made isn't that good but I'm thankful you're not afraid to be honest and you're actually right!
I drew this after a week or 2 of not drawing and drew using mostly the pen tool. So I wasn't feeling well and was using tools to try experimenting a bit :)

Thanks for being honest! I appreciate it and don't hesitate to give me a lower score that you think is deserving of the quality of what I made :D

He's definitely one of my favorite characters from Jojo. Probably the character I find the hottest, as well, next to Jolyne, Ermes, and Kira

Parts of this are really nice. Matsuno Osomatsu, for example, really stands out when compared to Marshal and Doctor N. Gin. who don't look nearly as clean. The real focus, Dr. N. Fluence, however, is just an overall delight. Normally, I frown upon busy-looking OCs that try too hard to stand out visually, but I get the impression that Fluence is an eccentric genius. In that regard, the design works out well, especially if somebody like N. Gin is favorite character (and likely a strong influence) for your friend. He definitely deserves all the love those three are giving him.

FunkySquidd responds:

Wow thank you for these awesome critiques! You just made my day :D
Yea I slacked off on drawing Marshall. I'm just that food at drawing simplistic characters and need to practice more. Oh you like Matsuno more than N Gin? I think Gin looks better here. But that's interesting you say otherwise.
Lol yea, he's a doctor who studies psychedelics xD Oh yea, you're right about that. My friend loves N Gin.
Thank you once again for your wonderful comments.

Your landscape paintings are amazing, Rat.

DevilRat responds:

I agree with that considering this is a showcase of saturation and oranges.

Something about this is off-putting. I thought it was the overall design of the character, but after looking her up, everything is spot-on, and I now know that she is a relatively popular side character with plenty of fan art, a handful of plushies, and even a couple of cosplayers representing her. I now feel bad forgetting she exists after watching the film. Still, there was something bothering me about this drawing, and I think it might be the right arm. Is it just me or does it look a little disjointed? ...as if it is jutting out from the body improperly.

FunkySquidd responds:

Yea I really like the character and wish we saw more of her in the movie ^^
It could be. I probably just didn't draw it well enough because I'm not that skilled at anatomy. Thanks for the feedback

Never played Overwatch, but that is a terrifying outfit. Do all or most of the Overwatch characters have such frightening costumes?

ScribbledGuy responds:

No I kinda took some creative liberties with it

It's no Emboar, of course, but Meganium is definitely more of a lover than a fighter and easily the most adorable of the evolved grass starters.

Excellent work, Inga, and thank you for sharing your art with Newgrounds.

Medusa-the-Eternal responds:

Thank you so much! Actually, I've been meaning to draw a fire starter lately and Emboar has such a fun design that I might just go with that. 😄

I can see what you mean about the head, but that's still an impressively terrifying-looking creature, and I wouldn't want to be the poor soul in your group who has to deal with it.

DravenLachance responds:

Thank you! Technically, this is what my character transforms into. He is a psychic, space-viking, werewolf and once a session he can transform. It's just not always my choice.

It's a simple, yet excellent drawing of a very good girl.

I love seeing art of dogs, but a sad dog? That's illegal, isn't it? Well, I hope you provided that adorable little sweetheart numerous hugs, tummy rubs, and treaties to make her happy again after that two hours and five minutes of work was completed.

Excellent choice of music, by the way. I actually got that along with PirateCrab's metal rendition of the New Horizons theme off of Bandcamp a little over two months. Animal Crossing remixes are always welcomed in one of my playlists.

lordyingyang responds:

She is a sweetheart, but no matter what she has a sad face or a grumpy face. Here link to see her sad face https://www.instagram.com/p/CC45sOeH5kd/ Thanks for the awesome comment.

Was gonna four-star this due to the lack of a body, but that soulless open-mouthed depiction of Candy Wife's face elicits the same uneasiness I felt whenever the show would focus in on the character, and that's what makes this an impressive five-star to me.

FunkySquidd responds:

Wow thanks, man! That's a really comment from you :D And thank you for rating my art.
Lol yea I drew her expression like this because I could imagine her screeching like she did in one episode.

Hey sexy oppa!

NicoBros responds:

It's like they say.
